Goals of the project

By offering computer training to the disadvantaged groups, computer knowledge becomes a real asset for the family and community;
Improve living standard thus alleviate poverty by increasing the employability of the disadvantaged groups by offering computer training, job-related skills training, placement opportunity and accreditation programs.

What is a Community Technology Training Centre (CTLC)?

A community technology centre is a free or low cost, friendly place (in a community centre, school, housing facility or other convenient location) where people of all ages and abilities can come to learn about computers, use the internet, explore new careers, further their education, participate in community activities or develop technology skills.

Service Scope

Partner NGOs will deliver the following services in the CTLCs:

  • IT competency training - Training Courses
  • Practice Session - Open for other deprived groups in the community
  • Other Support Services - e.g. IT Volunteer / Ambassador Training, Peer-support Group / Platform on IT usage, etc.
